June 30, 2009

woke up from a long night of crappy dreams. have you ever had a dream you thought was real and when you woke up, you just felt like punching somebody? ugh...i don't have them often, but when i do....look out for about the first ten minutes of my day.

so whats up? louisville is hosting a pretty big cycling event this week and you know what? you don't hear a thing about it on the news, in the papers on blogs...well, except this one and a few others, but seriously...there's a huge race happening and i just don't understand why promoters don't do a better job of getting the community there.

it's looking like a great weather day for the race, so i might cruise over and take a look and see how things are going. i have to hit the gym first. since breaking my hand, i've been in the gym hitting the cardio like a madman. 45 minutes on the stairs, 10 on the rowing machine and hitting the legs twice a week. i'm not sure how much water weight i have lost, but i'm down to 155 lbs. at the moment. i'd love to get to about 148 lbs. if possible...we'll see though.

so...what else is happening??? i have new neighbors. not sure what to think of them yet. they seem to keep to themselves. i hesitated to even write that, because i don't want to jinx anything. the landlords have probably told them what a butthole i am. this house is the biggest eyesore of the block..well...it might be tied with one other...but seriously, how do landlords in this town get over themselves by renting to idiots and not expect those who live around them not to complain?

let me ask you...lets say your rental neighbors fight in the front yard 3x's a week, spit all over your cars, rip up your landscaping and play music way too loud at 3am. the landlords claim there is nothing they can do. but wait a second...isn't this property the landlords? lets take a look at the word landlord.

"Landlord is the owner of a house, apartment, condominium, or real estate which is rented or leased to an individual or business, who is called a tenant (also a lessee or renter). When a juristic person is in this position the term landlord is used. Other terms include lessor and owner. ..."

so being a landlord, aren't you in a position of mediating of a tenants behavior that's effecting the neighborhood? seriously...am i wrong? if i were a landlord and neighbors complained to me about my tenants behavior, i would talk with them and let them know that what they're doing is unacceptable. but no...not this landlord...they just want to sluff it off to the police and have nothing to do with the house except collect that rent check.

ok ok ok...enough of the rant... sorry, but i posted this on another blog and was pretty much ganged up on by THE landlord and all their buddies...

have a good one!!!
